Prayer Ring

Om Mani Padme Hum

This first edition of Osel's prayer ring is 18k gold and engraved with the mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum." Inspired by the Tibetan spinning rings, this is the perfect ring for someone who is practising the Dharma or even as a simple gift for a loved one.

When this ring is sold money will go back into making more of the same ring and also to the Maitreya Project. Click here to learn more about the building of the 500ft statue.

The goal of the Maitreya Project is to promote loving kindess, provide education, healthcare and employment to the poor and under privileged.

My Young son, is once again a little star.. deciding that he wanted me to draw a car from him with " MY TREYA" in it.. and my car would have "YOUR TREYA" in it :)
We took him out the see the buddha relics while they were in singapore and he was so happy to hear all the stories while he was there, although i am sure for a kid it should have been really boring.. but not this young man.. he loved it..

The Sun Ring

The sun ring inspired by Bastet the cat goddess of ancient egypt
or rather by her father Ra the Sun god...

The Joy of Compassion

My young son surprised me on tuesday as we were reading the papers in the morning before he went off to school.

In singapore there has been news on the front pages for the last 2 days about a young two year old girl who very sadly lost her big toe while standing on an escalator.

My son, who was playing with his blocks at the time, noticed what I was reading. So I explained to him what had happened to the poor girl. He then stood back, paused, looked at his blocks and his toy cars.. then picked up the packaging box for the blocks which clearly states that these blocks are from the ages 2+. He looked at me then and said " mama, look its for two years old" then again, with a pause and some deep thought he looked at his blocks and cars.. then said, "she can play with my blocks mama but lets keep the cars"

So there it is, compassion at such a young age! how blessed am i to have a son who already has this inbuilt.. I must nurture this, as we all should.
Yesterday we went to the hospital to pass the little girl who lost her big toe something that may make her heart sing just a little.

I cant think of anything that can be greater than the happiness i feel with a son who can think this way at four yeas old..What joy!

What has this got to do with Osel?
not much really but i guess if my son had his way he would give her the ring above.

Pink tourmaline is a perfect healing stone for children.
This stone would help her to transform her negative and painful experience into one that could in some way be positive and will help her overcome her fears.

This is actually one of the first rings that i designed..

Like the other rings in the collection it is set in 18k hammered gold.

What is special about this ring is the stones that it set with.

They are tourmalines and are very deep and rich in their color.

Tourmaline has a variety of different healing energies depending on the colour of the stone.

This ring as you can see has the very dark green , green and then the deep pink almost red colour, all of the stones help balance the heart chakra and as a result help to heal in many ways and turns what once looked not so good into the positive :) !

The deep pink stone brings a deep comforting love energy while the greens attract abundance and open the soul to looking at more creative ways of expression.

So there you have it, a ring that heals, brings love and abundance and makes us more creative! what more could a girl want? ;)
